The process or water softening is the way to remove salts or calcium and magnesium (total hardness) that may form calcareous encrustations.

The installation of a softener is recommended to avoid encrustations into pipelines on domestic and industrial water heating appliances to save energy and thermal efficiency.

These water softeners comes in two versions: JCV (compact model) and JDV (double body model). Both have indorsed a volumetric valve that regenerates the resin only when needed, granting the consumption of salt to the minimum.

The regeneration valve has a flow sensor and a turbine meter that checks the volume of the water treated. The regeneration starts at the selected time, while the day is chosen by the electronics according to the real water consumption, the exchange capacity and the set hardness.

The unit allows programming the following modes:

• time-volume: after reaching the set volume, at a set time.
• pure volume: immediately after reaching the set volume.
